About WhyChallenge

WhyChallenge is made by the WhyChallenge Team — a small, independent team with one belief: a child’s endless “why?” deserves a real answer, not “because.”

Why we built it

Kids are naturally curious — most of them ask why hundreds of times a day, and the honest answers are often buried in academic pages or ad-cluttered blogs. We wanted every one of those questions to lead somewhere fun instead: take a guess, get a friendly explanation, earn a point, and want to ask one more. That idea became a game with 100 questions across six categories, playable free in any browser.

How we write our answers

Every answer is researched from established science and history references first, then written at three levels — simple wording for kids (4–12), fuller explanations for teens, and a deep dive for grown-ups. Wrong guesses get explanations too, because a good guess deserves a good reply. Where the science is genuinely uncertain (like whether a cat’s purr heals bones), we say so instead of pretending.

Each answer is checked for accuracy before it goes live — and when we get something wrong, we fix it fast. Spotted a mistake? Tell us — corrections get priority.

What we promise
