Privacy, in plain words
WhyChallenge is built to collect as little as possible. Here is exactly what happens to your data.
What do you store?
Your game progress — score, streaks, zoo collection, sound and timer preferences — is saved in your own browser’s local storage, on your own device. It never leaves your device and is not visible to us.
Do you have accounts, ads, or tracking?
No. There are no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics trackers, and no third-party scripts that follow you. If we ever add any of these, this page will say so first.
What about the email signup?
During the current beta, an email entered on the home page is stored only in your own browser, on your own device, and is not transmitted anywhere. When a real email service is connected, this page will be updated to describe it before any address is sent.
Children
The game is designed for all ages, including children. Because nothing a player does is sent to a server, no personal information about children is collected. Progress lives on the family’s device and can be removed at any time by clearing the browser’s site data.
Questions or removal requests
Since we hold no data, there is nothing for us to delete — but if you have questions, use the contact on the home page and we will answer.
